Do you have unanswered questions about the Expressive Therapies Continuum?

Sometimes all it takes is an informal, informative conversation to turn mysteries into knowledge

Come and learn about this ahead-of-its-time, nervous system-informed framework in a relaxed setting with relaxed people

You don’t know where to go for straight-up answers to your burning Expressive Therapies Continuum questions

No matter where you turn, you can’t seem to find the answers to your burning ETC questions.  There are many things to read and many people with conflicting ideas about the framework, but you wish you could get some straight-up info without having to make your head spin any further.

You’ve got a bibliography but want more assurance

You once thought the ETC was kinda’ simple, but you’ve reconsidered and have been trying to separate fact from fiction.  You’re curious and hopeful that your efforts are taking you in the right direction; the Expressive Therapies Continuum bibliography has been a big help, and now you need something at the next level.

I studied under the Expressive Therapies Continuum’s co-creators and am happy to assist you

I’m Megan, and I help clinicians separate ETC fact from ETC fiction.  I offer supervision and webinars, and now I’m offering a virtual Q&A session to field all inquiries about this outcome-informed, pantheoretical model.  It’s exciting to see people have “light bulb moments” as they grasp the nuances of the Expressive Therapies Continuum and conceptualize how it will strengthen their work with others!

Megan is licensed by the counseling boards in the U.S. states of Arizona, Indiana, and Texas, and she also holds board-certification status through the Art Therapy Credentials Board.  She has developed an online private practice using the Expressive Therapies Continuum (ETC), a nervous system-informed framework, as a basis for assessment, treatment planning, intervention, progress monitoring, and case conceptualization.  Megan earned her master’s degree in art therapy with a specialization in grief and medical counseling from the University of Louisville, where she studied under ETC co-creators Vija Lusebrink and Sandra (Kagin) Graves-Alcorn.

She has served on professional boards and committees at local, regional, and national levels.  A scholar at heart, Megan enjoys doing research, giving presentations, and writing about the Expressive Therapies Continuum. She is hopeful that a new generation of art and expressive therapists will have the opportunity to learn the ETC via methods similar to the ones her professors used.  Megan is currently developing a community of ETC enthusiasts and shares information with them through a monthly newsletter.  See https://www.meganvanmeter.com/for-expressive-therapists for more information.
